This is a really inaccurate way of doing this. The thickness won't be uniform. If the shell command doesn't work, there's something wrong with your object. It would be better to find out why it's not working.

Nice, i have never used loft like this before, i clearly need to start working with surfaces more, earlier i have basically exclusively worked with solids and sketches

Can I get that file as it doesnt seem to be on your download page..... having trouble with the loft section ...... I get to the selecting rails and thats ok then when I hit OK the wing only goes out to the start of the circle and I get an error saying not smooth..... I have tried it several times and I have done it exactly to your video but I am stumped.... thanks

Most of these "How to create [spur; helical; worm; inner; so on...] gears" lessons are not parametrized, and are quite unusable. You guys crate something looks like the selected gear, but with totally random parameters. The gears has standardized parameters, for example module, pressure angle, helix angle, addendum, dedendum, pitch circle ... so on. And this is the most important part, not drawing a spiral or cut-combining components. And the purpose of CAD programs is creating something that is working and manufacturable, 3D-printable, millable, turnable, castable. What can anyone do with the above design? Honestly ?

Ah ha the fission fusion intersection curve gotcha

I found this hard to follow. Too much emphasis on easy tasks and not enough explaining when implementing workarounds / tricks such as the project after mirroring. I had to watch 4 times to understand what you did which was just project the shape after mirroring then patched the projection. Lots of unnecessary filler words too. I appreciate the share so I don’t want to be too critical. Just giving feedback.

When you hit the shell command a computer should be able to do these calculations in zero seconds. What a garbage program can anyone make a useable program soon?

Newbie here, I know the video is old, but very helpful. Just a question. I see you right clicked the original straight line and added control splines, but when I right click it, this option is not in the drop down menu. I have done it a few times and it did pop up, but not sure why it did or how I was able to make that option appear. Can you shed some light?
